Every woman should consider their options for their vocation. Hopefully someone at some point in your life has asked you in these or similar words, “Is Jesus calling you to live as a religious person?” It’s not an easy question to answer. It takes prayer and study to discover your TRUE vocation.
Miriam is the ancient female Hebrew name given to the Virgin Mary, mother of God. The Miriam Group is a discernment group for women who are high-school juniors and above who love Jesus Christ and His Church, and who are willing to talk to other like-minded women about their future. The group meetings are NOT meant to convince you that religious life is your vocation. You could very well be called to marriage or another vocation. But as a Catholic woman – even if you’re currently dating – at some point you have to ask yourself whether or not God is calling you to a religious life.
All meetings will be led by Rev. Joseph Lopez, Vocation Director, and will be private in nature. Your presence and participation in this authentic discernment beginning will be greatly appreciated.
